Erin makes good on her promise of entombment; by the time the end credits roll she is as unto a swaddled babe, more blanket than human, with only her head poking out. She looks as relaxed as SecUnit has ever seen her, smiling a small and completely unselfconscious smile.
"When you're a professional pirate..." She sings to herself, and then her ears twitch. "I'm guessing nothing horrific showed up, so: thoughts?"
"I keep hearing that name," Erin muses. "The way I keep hearing it suggests to me that I'm gonna end up stabbing that man, but I suppose we'll find out if he attends the viewing. You got a history with the gentleman, SecUnit?"
"Not too much of one. He's kind-hearted and encouraging, offering 'therapy sessions' and planning parties. He's also willfully ignoring problems around him. If you stab him, you'll draw his partner's ire, Captain Blackbeard. But he's old and slow; you'd have him in a fight easily, I think. I did."
It shrugs. "Anyway, yeah, Stede's...not someone for whom I hold a lot of respect."
"...Buddy, I'm supposed to plan parties. I came here and asked for your assistance in planning a party. You just watched one of two films that will feature. At the party. Which I'm planning."
"It isn't the parties in themselves that I'm criticizing. I think having parties helps release tension. Really, it's his denial of things like 'oh, that guy Hiram who signed up for your little on-ship pirate crew is actually the Captain's human form'. That is sort of a big deal. And what got me into the fistfight with Blackbeard, who doesn't want anyone to make Stede look like an idiot."
"Godddd. I need to meet Blackbeard, and I will have no dignity that entire time."
The blanket moves shapelessly. A gesture?
"The other feature presentation is Muppet Christmas Carol. Concerns a rich man terrorized by ghosts into treating the poor well. Also high up on my favorites, even if these days I'm realizing I've been Scrooge for uh... awhile."
"I think I've heard of Christmas before somewhere..." But it's not entirely sure. "That said, even ghosts couldn't get the rich assholes of the Corporate Rim to treat their laborers better."
"Don't underestimate a motivated ghost." Erin quirks a grin. "Unlike living people they're not on a clock."
She leans her head back against the wall. "The sleepy is stealing over me," she confesses. "Don't take it personal if I pass out. This has been... relaxing."
"If you need, I'll guard you while you sleep." That was always the deal it had with Sarge. But in the meantime, it puts in the next DVD, and lies on its belly, chin cupped in its hands as it watches.
Erin makes it through to the end of Marley & Marley before her head dips down towards her chest and her body just gives out. She's not been getting proper sleep; now she drifts off, cozy and contained, near the first friend here that she feels as if she can trust without reservation.
While she sleeps, the sheet music that decorates her body crawls up her neck and face. It's following the movie.

It's sorry, that is something that needed to be said before anything else came out of its mind.
