[ Left at the foot of SecUnit’s door in the hotel is a little folded paper crane; the paper has been drawn on with careful ballpoint pen, with floral illustrations and swirling patterns, most dense on the wings and trailing up through the tail and the neck.

Taped to it is a little note that says “FOR SECUNIT - FROM PHIL”. ]

Murderbot is genuinely surprised to see that someone's left it anything. It examines the little bird quietly, awed by the details of its construction, and then tucks it in a pocket of its cargo pants.
