Apparently Miss Ava was in Sand Dollars the other day.
Neither of us considered that this could happen.
I feel you should be aware of this.

A few minutes later: Did she make you feel bad, about what she saw?

[decrypter]

She did not. She thinks it was a good thing and is sorry that she accidentally eavesdropped. I'm not upset with her or anything like that, I just felt it was fair to let you know.

Do you feel bad, knowing this information?

Given the conversations my drones overhear, that would make me a hypocrite.

[decrypter]

Your drones aren't invisible.

[serialskiller]

You’ve never seen one.

[decrypter]

I regret to inform you that even you are invisible, by that logic.

[serialskiller]

I always let you know I’m here. My drones don’t. For you, or anyone else. And not everyone listens for them.

[decrypter]

All right, I'll concede that, since even if one's listening for them they're difficult to pick out.

I suppose I just forgot about the idea of being watched at all.

The Captain is capable of watching us anywhere except our cabins. It's worth remembering that--I was aware that he would be capable of seeing the conversation we were having. I didn't think of the passengers, beside that.

Several minutes pass.

I hope he was occupied with something else.

[serialskiller]

He usually isn't interested in things like this. That's why he doesn't watch the cabins, he might see something he's disinterested in.

[decrypter]

Knowing that the Captain does not watch us sleep is only mildly reassuring.

[serialskiller]

It's other activities he's trying to avoid.

I know. I was trying to be charitable.

How best to change the subject...

Sundries gave me a weapon. I'm not sure what to do with it.

[serialskiller]

What sort of weapon?

[decrypter]

It's a gun. I recognize it, because it belongs to someone I used to know. No idea why it showed up here, though.

[serialskiller]

I have ideas on how to help you practice with it. Aim toward drones making sounds.

[decrypter]

I might need a different weapon if I'm to actually practice. They only gave me six cartridges in total.

I know they cause small explosions. She used them to great effect.

I'll see if any of Jinx's guns are still around. That or I know Peter Smith has a pistol.

Something a little smaller would be preferred. I'll show you the one that was sent, so you understand the size.
