( oh, she expected to not hear from it. in those couple of hours of silence from it, she was building her new home. so it'll be about thirty minutes until she replies again. )

[Before MB shows up, it does text Watson, asking if he'd be able to be on the Promenade somewhere. In case.

But it does show up, and not even wearing its armor. Look, that was a very serious debate it had with itself.]

( jinx is a little late showing up. she's never been the type to be exactly on time or punctual like that. and when she gets there, she is completely unarmed -- no pistol nor pow-pow. which in all honesty, she hates. not only she feels naked without them but after a few run ins on her own, she rather be ready than not.

but she knew if she shown up armed, rin will probably book it or think differently. 'do not argue with it if you can help it.' she groans to herself at that little reminder. if she wasn't a fond of venti so much...

right, okay. she pushes the door and waltz herself in. )

Huh. So you're actually here.

Yeah. I'm here.

[It's also been talked to by Venti. So it has some idea what this is going to be about. But it's not going to make this any easier on her.]

( she walks over to a table and takes a seat -- might as well make herself comfortable, she thinks. if only she could grab a drink while she's here. )

Right. So... listen, I'm sorry for what I said to you at the movie thing.

( jinx pauses as she rattles her brain to think of something else to say beyond just that. )

— I shoulda been more... ( 'angry about it?' if only she could say that. ) considerate on how you felt.

[It doesn't look at her, doesn't move at all, its expression doesn't change. It gives her a brick wall to work with.

... That's it? That's all you're gonna give me?

You've completed your obligation and can tell Venti you've apologized. Isn't that why you're doing this?

[opheliac]

( she can't hold it in anymore. )

You know what? Yes! That is the reason. And you wanna know what else?

( jinx shifts in her seat and crosses her arms over her chest to face it fully. despite it's not looking at her, but whatever. )

It's also because Venti AND the Doc wants us to get along. Or 'least have some kinda common ground. 'Cuz there's more crazy bizzaro stuff happenin' around here than this. ... And seein' with the whole Jenny going giant, I'm... agreein'.

I don't need to get along with someone to work with them. For thirty-five thousand hours, I was a rogue unit working for people who I didn't give a crap about, all the way up until the PreservationAux survey. I'm good at sucking it up and getting the job done, regardless of any stupid feelings I have.

( stupid feelings is right. )

Pffft! — I worked with oversized ogre with a smokin' and gamblin' addiction. Trust me, she and I aren't even the slightest of friends.

That said, if I get broken, César is probably going to be the one to try to fix me.

( she gives a nonchalant shrug as she unfolds her arms; letting one drape over the top rail of the chair. )

...though I could use more drones. I lost two in Jenny's storm. I only have two left. If I give you one to work from, do you think you could make something similar?

[Yes, having one of its extra eyes in her hands is scary, but less scary than letting her have its body.]

( .. oh ho ho. looks like it needs her assistance after all with something. there is a small part of her thinks she should just deny it out of sheer spite. but she's been in a crazy creative mood lately. between building her own area, workshop, and soon bombs for clarke, what's another project? it's one way to keep herself busy on the ship. and besides, it'll make venti happy. and his happiness is highly important to her. )

Sure! Got a quantity preference?

If you can make ten, I’ll be a very happy bot. I don’t fly more than three or four at once, so that will be a good supply for a while.

[opheliac]

( ten, huh? she chews on her inner lip as she thinks this through. ten drones, eight chompers, subtract one for clarke, subtract one for knock out gas, - if possible to make, additional two for replacement, bedroom platform, workshop station, sitting area, and booty trap entrance. )

( it looks she'll be pulling all nighters for awhile. what a wonderful feeling, though. it's like she's back in her element. )

[It pulls a drone out of its pocket to offer her.]

And I’m not using the cabin. I don’t really sleep, so I don’t need a bed or anything, you can have it.

( happily, she takes the drone out of its hands and already inspecting it rather closely. )

That makes two of us. I'm not usin' it, either. Already found my new sweet home.

( a smirk over at it before raising her to feet; tucking the drone safely in her pocket. )
